We are happy to announce the publication of our study: "Sociodemographic characteristics of people in leadership positions of graduate programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders" on the Journal of Allied Health.

This study aimed to consider the characteristics of the department chairs and/or program directors in accredited speech-language pathology and audiology departments. We found that the majority of the people in leadership positions held doctoral degrees, often from highly-ranked academic programs. More males were in leadership positions than typical in speech-language pathology, though the ratio was similar to that of faculty in communication sciences and disorders programs.
