We are happy to announce the publication of "Laryngeal symptoms related to motor phenotypes in Parkinson's disease: A systematic review" in Laryngoscope Investigative Laryngology.

This systematic review looked at how the varied clinical presentations in Parkinson's disease affect voice and swallowing. We included 8 studies in the review, 5 of which considered the voice characteristics among the different motor phenotypes of PD, and 4 of which considered swallowing function. Some indication was found that the postural-instability-gait-disordered phenotype presented with more severe laryngeal symptoms compared to the tremor-dominant phenotype, but no firm conclusions could be drawn. More high-quality evidence is needed in the area.
